Training from MWC16: “Mobile is much more than mobile”
Mobile World Congress ended the 2009 week, and even though we didn’t result in the trip over the pond to Barcelona, we’ve been keeping an eye on 2010 occasions and insights. MWC 16 didn’t dissatisfy when it comes to new tech-from connected cars to VR-however it remains seen the amount of this latest technology will translate rapidly to the enterprise. A lot of the tech at MWC has already been around the cutting-fringe of the customer market, and everyone knows how slow the enterprise reaches adopting technology.
Our favourite reviews on MWC 16 originated from Vanessa Search, mind of mobile at GroupM. Writing for AdNews, Search notes that “mobile is much more than mobile.” As she sees it, mobile “is now a convergence of devices, connectivity, and digital service.”
Though she’s speaking about mobile being an idea as it requires all of the technology displayed at MWC, her statement – that mobile is much more than mobile – is a that carries to the enterprise.
You might not be deploying wearables to all your employees or using VR to telecommute, but you may still have a note from Search and work at a business-wide method of mobility that’s comprehensive. As opposed to just being a way to an finish, mobility is really a valuable method to take the company together using that convergence of devices, connectivity, and digital service that Search mentions.
Is a general change in method of mobile strategy as ‘sexy’ as that shiny new connected vehicle at MWC 16? Not. But where we sit, it’s more likely with an immediate impact inside the enterprise.
