Leak Suggests LG G5 Have A Secondary Ticker Display And ‘Magic Slot’ Expansion Port
LG has ongoing to provide more modular phones that attract individuals offended by Samsung’s proceed to unibody devices. A brand new leak from VentureBeat’s Evan Blass (Also known as @evleaks) claims the G5 will require things one step further with the addition of a “Magic Slot” for installing new hardware modules, in addition to a secondary display a la the V10. The report also supports a couple of details we have heard before.
The VentureBeat report concurs with previous leaks the G5 have a slightly smaller sized 5.3-inch 1440p display, presumably to create room for that secondary screen inside a smaller sized footprint compared to V10. The G5 also borrows in the V10 within the camera department. The V10 has two front-facing cameras for super-wide-position images, however the G5 may have that configuration around the back, able to 135-degree captures. It has a fingerprint sensor in the same position around the back because the V10 too.
LG will allegedly lessen the battery size to 2800mAh from 3000mAh within the G4. The inclusion of the more effective Snapdragon 820 processor might compensate for that, though. This is combined with 3GB of RAM, based on the leak.
For that Magic Slot, it isn’t obvious the way it works. LG apparently wishes to sell a variety of accessories that plug in to the G5 together with a 360-degree camera, a sound amp, along with a physical keyboard. The place and configuration of the port wasn’t made obvious within the leak. Whether it’s legit, it certainly sounds interesting.
